The Blues Reincarnation Project Biography
The Blues Reincarnation Project is a blues-rock, British blues, and new age blues-influenced band consisting of an up-and-coming guitarist from the Newark, Delaware area, Jeffrey Attakorah, a guitarist whose influences are based in blues rock, classic rock, and modern R&B, and a former member of Newark, Delaware-based punk band, ‘The Checkered heroes, Charlie Greaves on drums and Dylan Walker, a bassist in the New Castle, Delaware scene, well versed in classic rock and traditional blues genres. Together, they “just play whatever, with a hint of Blues”, with the goal of bringing the blues back to the younger generation.
The Blues Reincarnation Project released their first record in 2017 and first appeared at Lancaster Roots and Blues in 2021.
Attakorah writes all songs from a personal observational viewpoint. His prowess on electric Fender belies his age and time in the public eye. Born and raised in Kumasi, Ghana, in West Africa, Attakorah followed his father to the United States when he was 12. After immersing himself in American music ranging from the Jonas Brothers to Disney classics, he purchased his first guitar at 14. A friend saw something in his passion, like all of his music teachers, pushed him to explore the blues and presented him with a used Epiphone Les Paul electric guitar. He practiced constantly to the point of wearing out the frets. He has since graduated to a wireless Fender which he plays with precision, heart, and showmanship. He is also studying the traditional Ghanaian music structure as he plays in different predominantly African churches.
