Jazz and Blues
The Mystic Alpacas are a group of seasoned Central Pa. musicians that are the outgrowth of a project started over 15 years ago by guitarist John Healy and Saxophonist Randy Bucksner called the Main Street Mystics. This was a vehicle to play original tunes John and Randy wrote as well as Jazz Standards. Things took a turn when Guitarist/Vocalist Mike Hess joined after the demise of Wake Up Call, a blues band he and Randy played in. Mike added his rocking style and knowledge of rock and blues classics.
The band also features drummer Papa John Foust from Denver, Pa. who has been with the band over ten years.
Doug Flurry, bassist, has played with area bands for decades.
Chris Iverson on keyboards is a new and welcome addition to the Mystic Alpacas.
When seeing this band be prepared for an interesting and fun musical ride.
