Judy Sings the Blues Biography
“Powerhouse vocals!!” “Soulful!!” “Eighth wonder of the world!!” are some of the descriptions people have used after hearing Judy sing! Judy Mangini, lead vocalist and percussionist for Judy Sings the Blues, has powerful, vocals with huge range! She will draw you in from the time she hits the stage until the “curtain closes”. She sings with passion, strength and feeling that you not only hear, but you feel it too.
Judy has been singing in area bands since she was 16, but she truly loves and enjoys singing the Blues. Growing up, performing is the only thing she has ever wanted to do and she has been writing her own songs since her early teens.
She has released three CDs that have been played all over the world! In 2022, her second album “Come Over Here”, was on the Top 200 Contemporary Blues Albums and was on the 2023 Grammy Ballot!! Her latest release, “Backstage Pass LIVE!!” has been charting on the Roots Music Reports making the TOP 10 Contemporary Blues Albums!! Her band was chosen by the readers of Delaware Today Magazine as the Best Band To Watch three years in a row (2019, 2020, 2022) and was also nominated several times! She was inducted in the Delaware Rock and Roll Society Hall Of Fame in October 2023!! All very humbling for her and totally unexpected. She truly loves and appreciates her fans!!
Judy surrounds herself with some of the best players in area and they never disappoint in any of their performances!! The chemistry and talent are a joy to watch!
