...excels in the rougher, funkier edges of Americana

Benyaro — the indie roots project of seclusive Jackson Hole, WY musician who’s worked with such artists as Gary Clark Jr., Brett Dennen and Shovels & Rope — has been described as “punk-Americana” and “acoustic David Bowie”. Their third original full-length album “One Step Ahead of Your Past” was produced with Danny Kadar (Avett Brothers, My Morning Jacket) and has earned the band significant recognition in 2018, including official showcases at SXSW, Treefort Music Fest, Magic City Blues, Sundance Film Festival and more.

Originally from Lancaster, PA, Benyaro founder/songwriter Ben Musser explains “One Step” is “a deeply personal collection of tunes from a period in which I became a husband and a father”. Songs explore the profound, vibrant, and mundane with humility and humor.

Benyaro latest release, a single entitled “Get Out and Vote” feat. Chaley Rose (from ABC’s Nashville) was featured in NO DEPRESSION and the driving force behind their national “Get Out the Vote” Tour in fall 2018.

Benyaro’s unparalleled live show features Musser playing drums, guitar and singing, simultaneously with NO looping while Leif Routman rocks hard on upright bass and harmony vocals, treating audiences to more sound and power than most duos. Catch a show to see for yourself.
