Rue de la Pompe
Rue de la Pompe is an all-acoustic string and reed band that blends vintage swing, contemporary American popular song, Latin rhythm, hot jazz, and French Musette. They are inspired by the elegant and romantic music of 1930’s European string bands commonly referred to as Hot Club Swing. Special guests are often invited to sit-in with the core members of David Francis (rhythm guitar), Bruce Campbell (acoustic bass) and Ken Gehret (lead guitar, accordion and violin). Joining the band for the Roots and Blues Festival will be guitarist Kevin Neidig. Rue de la Pompe is from Lancaster Pennsylvania.
