Paul Colombo Group Biography
This is a performance for the Opening VIP Cocktail Reception in the ArtPart on Friday Evening 7/8 on the Front Porch Stage in Freedom Hall at the Convention Center from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Paul Colombo Group is a contemporary jazz group from Central Pennsylvania consisting of Paul Colombo – guitar, Kirk Reese – keyboards, Andy Alonso – bass, and Chris Loser – drums. Their record, “Rio Crystal” on Vectordisc Records was released in 2021. It was #1 in Downloads and #1 Streams on an international chart on 4/23/21. The record has been played in places such as South Africa, Australia, and all over Europe. “Rio Crystal” is composed of eight original tunes, seven by Paul, and runs the gamut of jazz styles – straight ahead, Latin, fusion, blues, and ballads. Live they are an exciting and dynamic ensemble capable of fiery interchange and beautiful melodic explorations.
