Please join us as a volunteer for the Annual Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival! Volunteering for the festival is a great way to not only bring an amazing festival to Downtown Lancaster, but you will also be able to enjoy the festivities and earn a free general admission ticket for each shift you participate!  test

Below are the descriptions of the volunteer positions we are in need to fill. There will be several venue locations (not all venues will be participation all 3 days) which are listed as follows: Convention Center, The Village, Tellus 360, The Elks Lodge, The Holiday Inn, Zoetropolis.

Lead Volunteer: Must be available Saturday & Sunday to manage volunteers, meal breaks, distribution of supplies, etc., parking passes and two all-event general admission passes.

Green Room Manager: Directly responsible for the care of the artists’ needs and the area where artists will prepare or rest after performance. Assist in providing food, beverages, towels, green-room maintenance, etc. GR manager reports to the stage manager at each venue.

Loader: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and handle equipment with extreme care. Work is both indoors and outdoors. Reports to lead volunteer and stage manager at venue. Must have a willing attitude and have respect for artists and their equipment.

Merchandising: Volunteers will be located at the Convention-Center administrative location, staffing the main merchandising location and controlling Festival merchandise

Runner: Volunteer will be at the disposal of the Administrative facility manager, assisting in the movement of merchandise, marketing materials, and other necessary tasks from location to location during the festival

Technical Assistant: Must have some knowledge of musical equipment, PA systems, and electrical equipment. Will lend assistance to artists as needed. Reports to Stage Manager and sound techs. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Ticketing Agent: Will be volunteering at the Convention Center, handling pickup and purchase of tickets on cash and credit-card basis. Must be comfortable working with computer apps, tracking sales & money, and high-volume customer traffic.

Floater: Rotates throughout venue to assist Lead Volunteers as needs arise. may be asked to perform multiple tasks, which may include lifting up to 40 pounds. Will rotate positions to offer breaks to other volunteers as directed by Lead Volunteer.
